Paul is dead

The most hated German since Adolf Hitler.

Chances are you've heard of the news - the famous non human oracle, Paul the Octopus has died. And if you're not a footie fan, this is the octopus who correctly predicted the results of all Germany's World Cup matches and the finals between Spain and Netherlands.

He was 2 years old (he is pretty much an old guy in octopus' age).

Paul died of natural causes - one day he was fine, the next day he was gone. You can't help but wonder if some deranged, vengeful World Cup fan was behind his demise =P. Like sneaking a lil something into his tank. After all, he did make a lot of enemies from different countries after "predicting" their football team would lose.

"But it wasn't Paul's fault!"


Well, humans like pointing fingers and play the Blame Game. Like they would point at their national football team.


If there is one thing we shouldn't go up against, is the bond between man and football. C'mone, they believe about wearing lucky jerseys, they scream at the players on TV, my dad insisting we never touch the TV when Manchester United plays - they're probably the most superstitious fans during the World Cup season.

So long Paul.

At least it's way better than stalking guys during high school. And I do stalk some show houses occasionally. Another career prospect for me.

Take time to smell the flowers

Again, I dunno if the title is accurate.
I only realized I had lots of fake flowers in my room after staring at this pic for some time. The ones on the bottom right was a bday gift during Form 2. Back then folding flowers using straws were a hit. The red/pink roses were taken from Form 2's teacher's desk after school year was over. Right behind 'em are my own straw flowers (which you can't see, but just to tell you I ruled at it). And that's one of my cats.

Shameless self promotion

The name's Lace. I'm the one with the red halo on my head. I'm very very short. Am an adult but sadly, don't act like one. I'm a loner, since I'm the oldest and youngest child in the family. I'm not bitchy, see for yourself. I'm a banana so I socialize better with the English speaking world. Born on Christmas Day in my favorite place of all, Ipoh. I'm funny to some people.

I do not enjoy shopping because my salary slip doesn't have 6 figures on it. I follow beauty pageants. I have multiple alter egos. I'm not a girly girl cuz I wake up 15 mins before classes begins, where got time to make up and dress to kill lah. If you can't handle that fact then so be it. I do not enjoy coffee much, but I buy Starbucks cuz it makes me look cool. I'm totally brainwashed to worship the United States of America. I majored in Broadcasting so I have to watch movies and most of 'em nice ones are from the county I worship. Ok lah, so not totally worship lah ... I wanted to be an archaelogist when I was in school but I stank at Malaysian History so ...

Contrary to popular belief, I have a driver's license. Got it on my first try. A FRIENDS fanatic. Yeah I know that show is so yesterday but I'm still saving up for Season 7's DVD =) I do not download movies online cuz I just don't do it. I memang pantang pirated movies whose subtitles do not make any sense. I try camwhoring but I turn out like a moron. I'm overjoyed by the lil things in life. I'm prone to screwing my grammar.

P/S: I stalk cute lil cats and bunny rabbits.

Overall, life is fine, has more downs than ups but I'll just live with it.

I'm back!

I don't precisely remember when I first ventured into the unknown world of blogging but I do recall my first post was on January 1st (it's either 2004 or 2005). I left after 2 or 3 years and settled in Blogdrive before returning to Blogger. Things have changed a lot the last time I was here and needless to say I'm pleased with what I could do here.

I got my own header (yay!), labels (which I renamed to tags cuz I like the word) and I got to pick the color that goes with the header.

And I promise myself I'll make this site as interesting as I want it to be.
