Sept 10 09

Lo sono in Italia! Weather was super hot so we had to use the umbrella and this Italian guy asked us where we were from and we said Malaysia and he was like "I thought the weather there is hotter than here" LOL. We guessed Westerners prefer summer after the cold winter then, we said. Temperature was well around 30 degrees, thank God no sunburn.

St Peter's Basilica, where Saint Peter was buried. According to the Bible's New Testament, he was one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ.

St Peter's Square in front of St Peter's Basilica where Catholics from all around the world could gather in one place to see the Pope (giving blessings, speeches etc).

Fountain of Neptune located in Piazza Navona built off marble and stone in late 1800s.

Fountain of the Four Rivers, featured prominently in Angels and Demons (where Robert Langdon saves the 4th cardinal from drowning). Had to separate it into 2 pics cuz we couldn't take the whole shot of the fountain without people's heads blocking.

A cardinal drowning in this fountain, you ask? Well, it's not exactly deep but since he was bounded he couldn't move. Omg we were running around the area (Piazza Navona) trying to guess which fountain was featured in the book and film cuz there were 3 fountains here.

Met Eling, my tablemate!

Lunch was authentic Italian pizza. Might as well gulp down 4 pieces since I won't be back for some time.

The Pantheon in Rome was built to dedicate it to all gods of Ancient Rome in 126 AD.

Trevi Fountain in Rome, the original version and not the one in Las Vegas.

Another shot so you can see it's a fountain. Throwing in coins and making wishes is a norm.

Ahhh the Colosseum in Rome
