Sept 6 09

Moien! (Hello in Luxembourgish) This is Luxembourg City in the tiny country of Luxembourg, very quiet, very picturesque, very Sound of Music-ish.

The Gelle Fra (Golden Lady) monument erected in the centre of Luxembourg city. This war memorial is dedicated to Luxembourgers who went to war in World War I. You can see the soldier at the base of the memorial mourning the death of his compatriot.

Street in black and white.

Rooftops.

The remains of the ancient fort and old quarters which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 963, overlooking the valley below.

Bridge and the gorge below.

Then we crossed into Heidelberg, Germany. Took tons of flower pics to test my umm .. skills. See how the background is blurred? LOL

What remains of Heidelberg Castle in the Old Town.

View of Heidelberg's old town and beyond from Heidelberg Castle. Didn't go much higher than this cuz we needed to pay to enter the Castle's Chapel.

A closer view of the town, the Neckar river and the Old Stone Bridge. Omg I'm gonna move here someday. Nice view, fresh air, and if I learn how to enjoy beer this'll be heaven on earth.

A tiny market on a Sunday evening. You don't see much cars along the road, it was more of cyclists and people walking. And I super love the planted flowers on the buildings' windowledge.

Closer view of the Neckar and super expensive properties lining the river.
