Happy

Sights like this make me melt.

Things to achieve this year:

Be nice to people.
It makes you feel good, as simple as that.

Spend wisely.
It feels so nice to see all your hard work being paid off in a piece of paper at the end of the month. Oh, and also, stop being so kiam siap (stingy) with money and I am allowed to spend it on Chilli's and Bubba Gump once in a while. On a side note, perhaps the department should stop being kiam siap. =)

Move out (again!).
A little change would help. If people can live in an apartment, so can I. No more washing my own car though. Planning still underway.

Think ahead, there's so much to do with so little time!.
I have some achievable goals for the next 5 years. First step - work my ass off.

Umm .. work out. I suppose.
I found a cool Victoria's Secret work out video the other day, maybe I should give it a try. My favorite TV channel has work out programs in the morning, so there's a possibility.

Oh, and write more here too!

Hello February!

Time to shift the bed to the window, and get a windowsill.

January is over, and I'm ecstatically delighted seeing I have maintained my New Year's resolutions. I don't usually make resolutions, because, one, I'll only do something when given the right mood. Two, when I really push myself to the max. Three, when there's no choices left.

Resolution #1 - Grow up.
As much as I hate to admit, I'm an adult. I'll have to act, think and live as an adult. You'll be surprised to see how much immaturity we all have in us - arguing over nonsensical things, breaking off a friendships over dumb issues, giving a silent treatment to a loved one because you want to get back at them etc.

Over the years, I have learned to put myself in others' shoes and try to feel the hurt when I'm treated in that very way. I have done a fair share of those things to people, and yes, I'm trying to stop. Hey, I'm not perfect. Nobody is.

So, less yelling and more compromising. Result: Happy me!

Resolution #2 - Forgive and forget.
Bugger, it has been 2 years and I'm still not over it. When I first began training for this current job, I was questioned and yelled at by 2 seniors. The first one wasn't my fault, it was simply a lapse of judgment by the senior but oh well, fine, you're the senior and I'm the newbie. I have tried to forgive and forget about that, and I have. So, that's a done deal. Although I admit the scene comes back to me whenever I see him.

Second scenario was a misunderstanding (the only nice way to put it), I'm guessing he misheard me and it turned out to be quite a situation. At least for the both of us, but peeps have told me time and time about his problems and behavior, so I'm not the only one who has issues with him.
Result: Relief!

Problems and all

A very close friend once told me,

"Face your problems"

And I never told you this, but I have been living with this simple quote since then and I would like to thank you. Not sure if you're still reading this journal, but know that I'm incredibly grateful.

From driving to working to living life.

Free

I have been meaning to post something about the department's teambuilding in Langkawi since last year when I attended my first one, but a number of pics were in the pendrive and so I told myself I have to transfer them into the laptop someday and start to write about it.

The Langkawi vacation took place in January 2011. It's January 2012 now, and I have just transferred the pics into the laptop 15 mins ago. Talk about uber procrastination. And you ask me why I don't blog often. It takes me one year to transfer pics for the love of God!

January 2011 saw me begin the new year with a handful of firsts: first company vacation, first time flying on Air Asia and first time visiting Langkawi.

There was a mix up with the roommates so both of us got our own rooms. You'd think it'll be more fun but it took me some time to pick which bed to sleep in.

My roomie Sarah, and eventually we shared a room in December 2011's teambuilding in JayBee.

Nalini and me by the seaside before the activities took place.

The thing with teambuilding is they have a different dinner theme everytime, so Langkawi's theme was pirate's night. From here itself you can see I took no interest in renting one. I mean I did try my luck searching for one but renting one costs me 90 bucks, not including deposit (daylight robbery or what?) and I'm only gonna be wearing it for like, what 3 hours? Pfffttt. Not worth it. I'm a team player okay, it's just that I'm cheap cuz the company definitely isn't paying for me. Okay, different story altogether.

Nah, count how many of us actually came equipped with pirate outfits. Anyway if I did wore an outfit I would be selected as a finalist for the best outfit award. And since my catwalk is outta this world.. well, you get the idea. I'm just trying to be modest lah. On a side note, the so-called after party rocked the island wei. And who started it? Take a wild guess.

Apologies for not having sufficient pics, especially from our midnight to early morning escapades getting hammered by the poolside. Seriously, we had booze, cigs, seaweed and some really intoxicated humans.

And all 3 days put together was the reason why I couldn't wait until the next free vacation. At least for the first half of the year. After that it was like, "Ah go to Universal Studios kah? Ah, okay lah".

So folks, the year is coming to an end and after promising myself repeatedly to write something or post a pic or at visit my blog (if you want to call it one) at least once every week month, I thought at the very least I should post something to mark the end of the year. Ok sorry, that was a lie. I should at least update something to remind what I did for 2011.
