One day later

Lots of things happened since the previous post.
#1. Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA 2009 who was subjected to much criticism lately has finally being fired by Donald Trump. For those folks out there who still think she was fired because if she was the President all homosexual beings in the USA are forbidden to walk down the aisle, wrong. If you think she was fired over her racy pics and lying about it, wrong. In fact, The Donald called those pics "lovely". Get the facts right people, all she did was basically violate her contract agreement by her unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss CA organization.

Your new Miss California USA, Tami Farrell (also Miss Teen USA 2003) who was first runner up to Carrie.

#2. A local black Airedale Terrier (I think) living on Fonteney Street pounced on me this morning and not wanting to let go. When I was passing by he was doing his business, and then I said hi to him. And he jumped and hugged my leg. And then Yuin Yue asks, hey you think the dog wanted to make love to you? Wa liao ... humans don't want me but dogs do.
Hmrphh okaylah at least there's one type of species who finds me nice. Hahahaha

#3. Thesis proposal has been rejected, cuz apparently some student last year researched on the same film and scope as me so my supervisor thought it might look as if I plagiarized from that senior. Shucks ... I doubt she'll let me research on Hairspray cuz one of the assignments deals with musical films so mahu tak mahu I'll falling back on Da Vinci Code.
>.<

#4. I stopped by Tesco Express nearby Adelphi Hotel, mainly to seek refuge from the wind and bought 3 packets of candy for 1 pound (totally unnecessary) and 2 boxes of Viennese whirls cookies (buy one free 1) (also totally unnecessary). =.="

2 pence

Last week, Alric said to walk around town while looking down occasionally to recover lucky pennies. After class today I stumbled across one - a 2 pence coin. May not be useful to most Brits but it looked as if it's worth a lot. And a few classmates had found lucky pennies around their apartments (in the sofa!) and not me.

Till now.

Walking along the shopping district I saw a sleeping brown dog with a "Please do not feed dog" sign next to him. His owner was a blind musician. I still had the coin in my pocket so I donated to the guy.

See, I'm nice.

Blisters! Argh!

Yesterday night was disco night so I wore my white sandals, which by the way was already hurting my leg 2 mins after leaving my apartment. The disco was a 20min walk so yeah I was expecting blisters to pop out.

So there you go. A blister popped by the strings on the sandals.

2 more popped on the right.

Yet to pop. Omg die lah I still have to walk to Tesco to buy sayur okay ..

Atlantic Point

Home for the next 3 months. I'm living on the 2nd floor (again!) so the poor Atlantic Point staff had to lugged my 24 kilos luggage upstairs.

View from my room. Block 10A, Apartment 156, Room 2. We usually shorten it, so it becomes 156.2. Sounds like a radio station FM

This is as professional as I can get

How we enter rooms. Lose the key means living on the streets

Hall and kitchen

This wooden bathroom door doesn't work, seriously

Private bathroom

Bed

Overpacking is an understatement. Everyone brought a bunch of 2 min noodles and I left mine at home

June 1

June 1. Highlight of the day was the induction ceremony at Adelphi Hotel. Walked to Chinatown and caught a glimpse of the Dean Walters building where we, media students will be heading to every morning.

One of the many busy roads we need to cross

Looks like Michaelangelo's David but it's not

Brittania Adelphi Hotel

Some building

Inside the hotel

A simple elegant chandelier unlike those in Malaysia

On the way to Chinatown. Simply snap anything lah

St Luke's Church

You can tell from the absence of the ceiling that it's being bombed before

Close up and photoshopped

Not sure what this is but it looks somewhat like a building from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA

What I saw on my way back. Fountain at St. John's Square

Some kid posing
