Primping!

google.com

I am super addicted to Pinterest right now, and it has only fuelled my obsession with DIYs and arts and crafts. (You should probably know by looking at my blogger's list). I'm moving in to a little apartment soon with family, so what a way to start a new life!

First things first, I'm making myself promise to take care of myself more. That means, cleansing my face more (yes, I do not do that often) and keeping it and my legs more moisturized (now that I have the air cond and maybe, just maybe, heal my eczema a little). Face it, I'm getting older, not younger =)

Next is home decor. I'll start off simple because I despise cleaning and dusting so with more things in the house will just accumulate more dust, especially these candle jars. I won't be needing so many of these though, just one or two to make the place more homey.

Remember to read this first though:
Choosing a safe container for candles

Steps:
1. Decorate the jar with any materials you like e.g.: lace, tulle, or tie a ribbon around the jar.
2. Place the candle in the jar.

Or to be on the safe side, buy candles that come with their own containers, holders, jars etc at your nearby department store and decorate it.

I'm hoping this is the first thing I can make once I move in - something similar to the photo above. Parfait. I need yogurt, jam and cereals and all I gotta do is layer them one after another in a glass. Healthy, simple and fast.

Something old

desiretoinspire.net
Yay, I can finally move out from this place and I'm certain of it this time. After 2 years of living with strangers, thank God, I'm moving in with family!

To do list for the next month:
1. Get a refrigerator to store healthy food (e.g.: yogurt and fruits) Done
2. Get a washing machine Wash using own hands lah
3. Re-paint the place Place still looks new, so I can cross this off
4. Get a water heater (friend's uncle can do it cheaper) Will wait until we can't stand boiling the water every morning anymore
5. Fix the kitchen tap (owner's coming to repair it) Done
6. Call the movers to shift closet and desk from my current place Done
7. Get some decorations perhaps? Going crazy with pinning DIYs on Pinterest!
8. Go to Ikea and see what else I need (not necessary though =)
9. Random need - water filter
10. Air cond! Do you have any idea how sickening the weather is these days? Done

For the car

Good thing the bonus is here, and that means $1800 goes to repairing my car.

I crashed into this guy's car on May 1 because he decided it was okay for him to jump the red light. Long story short, he said it was my fault because I jumped the red light, and he rounded up some blur mamak stall-goers who also claimed it was me who jumped the red light. Wtf.

I damn panic already because dad didn't answer the phone at first, so I called mom. Then I called my landlord for support because I was ganged up at the mamak stall with everyone pointing fingers at me. Totally wtf when it isn't me at fault. And it was raining hippos and dinosaurs and the supervisor in charge of that day wasn't picking up the phone. Yep, it was work day on May 1.

That happened at 6.20pm. After reporting at the cop station in Puchong, they send me downtown to the main traffic police headquarters nearby Petaling Street and I told the same story to the inspector again and then he said, ok lah tomorrow you come back with the guy and see what we can do.

Another wtf. It was already 11pm and was planning to go to work after finishing all these crap (I was due to cover for a colleague). Petaling Street isn't exactly next door to my house either. And I felt I was gonna be ganged up by the cop and guy the next morning.

It was 1am by the time I dragged my ass home and duh, couldn't sleep. So I spent the entire time cocking up proofs to defend myself in case I needed too. The next morning, it was over within 20 minutes. Cop said to repair the car ourselves since no one is playing scapegoat admitting they're at fault. Relief.

So case closed. Now gotta take extra precaution on the road.

So far I've only spent the bonus on an outfit and a meal at Sakae Sushi. (Last year was spent at Chili's). Good thing I'm not a shopaholic.

*No pics of the car. Don't wanna be reminded of it*

I should show this to my housemate

But then again I promised myself to not be so evil and that she'll probably give me the-this-is-a-free-country-I-can-sing-whatever-the-hell-I-wanna-sing-no-matter-how-much-I-suck speech so ah, whatever.
