Day 2 in Liverpool. Am aching everywhere thanks to the luggage and 2 heavy bags I'll carried 10,000++ miles from Malaysia. Reality is starting to sink in, I have to bust my butt for 3 months before I can finally sigh and say, yes, I'm going home!

Did more grocery shopping after lunch, mostly those items which costs 1 pound and below. Yes, we're cheap but can't really blame us. Blame the ringgit.

Destination Liverpool

Omg I'm here! First time in my life I'm a foreigner =) Flight took off at 11pm Msian time and arrived at Amsterdam 11am Msian time (Netherlands time 5am). And I didn't puke!

Seating in KLM's economy class. Sat in between a 26 year old and a middle age guy. 100% Dutch =)

Off to town for grocery shopping at Tesco and dinner at a local pub =) Of course, I should add that we got lost looking for Tesco.

Lost. We're so bad at crossing roads we'll just follow the Europeans. Sometimes the traffic lights isn't facing in your direction and you have no idea to stop or to not. Aussie traffic lights still rule =)

I'll be waiting for departure, fidgeting with clammy hands and wondering if this was the best choice. I don't bite my nails but I will in 24 hours.

I wonder

4 more days! I can't believe it, can you?! I haven't even started packing yet but I have prepared a list of things to bring like "yellow highlighters" cuz I think I'm gonna need those for coloring another load of articles there.

We gotta watch Fast & Furious for assignment. OK so now the problem is where to search for that movie around lah? Plus I'm a noob at downloading things off the Internet.

I wonder if the immigration officers are gonna scan for pirated DVDs, got such machine one or not? Nanti they confiscate my entire stash die lah how to do thesis?

My folks have been announcing to the entire world about me flying to an orang putih country and obtaining an overseas degree cuz let's face it lah Msians aunties and uncles have this sudden admiration for you when they hear "study overseas boh". Anyway saying you got an Advanced Diploma sounds like you just did a 4 year diploma course. No joke some people pandang you semacam when you say that.

Checklist

Okay I know I've been badmouthing UK a lot so I've made a list on why I should enjoy my stay.

1. Free Internet access 24/7 (of course I've paid it together with the fees so it feels free)
2. Trips to Edinburgh, Alton Towers, York and Lake District (cost is another story)
3. Meeting some new people (perhaps?)
4. Leicester trip!
5. London trip!
6. Euro trip! (got some free Euro coins haha!)

I keep on visualizing a skinny bony me after THE three months. I know well there's gonna be stress. Iqbal and the other professors are gonna drive me up the wall, that's a done deal. I'll be developing a habit where I'll multiply all the figures on the price tags with 5. One time I was secretly hoping I'll stumble upon some rich guy's wallet and I'll return it to the cops and he'll give me a hefty reward. Haha. Sarah's boyfriend apparently works for EA. Wonder if he could give me Sims 3 for free. Dad's cousin told me a burger in UK could cost me around 4 pounds (plus it's huge!). That way I can have some for lunch and keep the rest for dinner.Yes, I'm that cheap. I've calculated it's gonna take me 15 months to pay back my folks the 30,000 bucks assuming I earn 2000 bucks per month.

In 2 weeks time, almost

By now you should be smart enough to know I'm not looking forward for UK. At all. And I'm anxiously waiting for those 3 months to pass by asap. Not cuz of Euro trip lah, mainly cuz I'm outta college (university whatever ..) and before you can say bye to me I'm off. Leaving all the memories behind, a handful of cool buds and some pretty mean people who somehow despised my guts. Doesn't take a genius to know.

Case #1 I memang geram sending computers to the store. It comes home worse than before. Now CPU's 2 USB port making me gila (not laptop yer, Szetoo =)) It was functioning SO WELL the day before!

Case #2 Pendrive went into retirement TOO EARLY. I don't think it ever got wet but yea lah got jatuh before. Not on purpose! And it too was functioning the day before. Stupid me go and save all LJMU docs, articles and plans in it and no backup copy summore! Not to worry, articles can still find online and previous 2 plans can save from Blackboard. Docs can save from email. Thank God I don't delete emails =)

Case #3 Notebook mouse doesn't work on notebook. Ya, this world got such thing apparently. Good thing the store gimme free optical mouse at least I saved some good 10+ bucks.

Case #4 Cellphone kena reformat, they say got potential virus wor. >.<

Sales: Your phone ... should be around 2007 hor?
Me: ... 2007?! You mean reformat have to pay 2007 bucks ah?
Sales: No no, I mean you buy this phone in Dec 2007 right?

I could swore she gave me a heart attack. SWT

So ... I'm so freaked out right now lah I don't dare to touch my FIRST EVER notebook. Sial nyer. I spent a good whole half hour recalling what I had in my pendrive instead of doing Plan 3.

Karma came and bit me HARD in the behind this time. Really hard.
